Conceived by leading Australian riesling producers, this event is a triennial celebration of the quality and diversity of the world’s greatest riesling wines, comprising tastings, workshops and master classes.

The tasting began in 2001 as the Frankland Estate International Riesling Tasting, and in 2009 it became a triennial event, enabling it to be integrated into an international rotation involving similar events in Germany and the USA.

We've been involved in the creation of branding and promotional material for the event almost since inception, and have witnessed the event's continued growth in both the appreciation of this varietal and also the patronage of the event. Renamed Riesling Downunder in 2015, the tasting retains the strong international focus and celebratory spirit of previous events with greater consumer participation. This was reflected by attracting over 500 riesling enthusiasts to a Sunday afternoon tasting featuring gourmet food and the wines of 40 different winemakers at Central Pier in Docklands, Melbourne in February 2015.
