A brand that stems from the heart

Miss Mary's Bloomers

Client Mary Dodds
Industry Retail

This cute little project came to us from a florist in Minnesota, Minneapolis who tracked us down after she saw the Ginger People brand we did, and wanted our help to bring to life her vision of some 20 years. Being passionate flower lovers ourselves, we were only too happy to assist...

Having worked in floristry as a secondary career, Mary had decided to take the leap and follow her passion for garden style floristry and set up her practice properly. With her love of nostalgia and the old 1930’s valentines day card illustrations, we collaborated on with regular team mate and illustrator Wayne Pereira, to create a Carmen Miranda-esque ‘bloomer’ character for her whilst paying homage to the old style poster ads of the era. This rich, colourful illustration formed the major focus of the brand and featured prominently on all promotional items.

Miss Mary’s Bloomers was born out of a deep reverence for flowers. Mary believes flowers are the language of our hearts – for her, every bloom is to be appreciated, every stem nurtured and every bouquet celebrated.

Miss Mary was so enamoured with our work, she went on to name one of her signature bouquets the ‘Genevieve’ and a gorgeous little cupcake blossom creation ‘Gigi’, after our daughter. Well isn't that just enough to bring a tear to the eye and reward enough! Thank you Miss Mary!

"The work you've done is amazing - I love it! I still don’t know how I can ever thank you enough, I am so lucky that you took me on and so grateful!"
