Restructuring the business to specialise in skin revision, skin rejuvenation and age management, as well as paramedical skin care prescriptions, was the funamental decision. A new name was desired to herald the new focus and the name Ora, inspired by the idea of and 'aura' of beauty was chosen.
Ora means many things in different languages including health, vitality, happiness, life, wellness and light. The key message we wanted to communicate to differentiate the clinic from the more formulaic competing brands out there, was about achieving results naturally and embracing natural results - having confidence in your skin as the real beauty boost - one that comes from within and expresses itself with a healthy glow, no matter your age.
Using circular shape references and background patterns reinforced the 'O' and speaks of detail, precision, finesse and patterning on a cellular level. Another key part of the visual brand was a series of moody floral Images that add drama and reference the natural nature of the treatments. Candid, real imagery of people that involve an aspect of light or sunlight to convey the concept of Ora and its message of feeling beautiful and confident naturally, was curated. Across all items, the always classic yet contemporary combination of black and white dominated, providing a sophistication in its simplicity with the added bonus of being economical. The service guide, created as a small guide, exemplified this stylish approach and was a desirable take-home item and sales tool.
Ora Skin was launched with great success and the salon has gone on to win a number of awards and firmly establish itself as one of Perth's premier skin clinics.
